Catholic School Culture

All primary and secondary catholic schools in the Ballarat Diocese follow the Awakenings Education Curriculum for the teaching of Religious Education.  This program is provided to support and enliven learning and teaching in Religious Education throughout the Diocese of Ballarat. 

The children from Foundation to Grade 6 have the opportunity to participate in 2.5 hours of Religious Education learning during each week. In addition, throughout the year students organise and participate in school led masses and liturgies.

All children at St Columba’s are offered the opportunity to participate in the Sacramental Program (Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation) coordinated by the St Columba’s Parish.
