Student Leadership

Meet our Student Leaders

Our commitment to fostering resilient and adaptable children is evidenced by the number of leadership opportunities for students.  We take immense pride in watching our students grow and blossom in leadership roles.

The Voice

Our student representative council is named 'The Voice' a reminder for all of the importance of student voice in decision making within the school. These students are elected from the Grade 6 cohort after a process of selection by their peers, teachers and ending with an interview panel including the school principals.

House Captains

Each house at school (Donegal, Clonard, Iona and Argyle) is represented by two House Captains.  These students help the sports teacher organise sporting events and represent their houses at these events. They are responsible for promoting good sports behaviour and inclusivity.

Grade 6 Leadership

All Grade 6 students apply for and take on a leadership role within the school as part of their final year. Students select from a range of roles including peer mentors, peer mediators, maintenance, events and promotion, sustainability, School wide Positive Behaviours as well as our art, sports and school captain roles. Students within the Grade 6 community are the leaders of our school and we work with them throughout the year to develop a culture of support and pride that carries through the rest of the school.

Arts Council Members

Each class nominates a representative to attend Arts Council meetings.  This group is focused on integrating arts initiatives within the school.

Choir Captains

Each year, the Choir members vote for two Choir Captains who are usually Grade 6 Students. These Captains assist the Choir Conductor at rehearsals and during performances.

Mini Vinnies

Students in Grades 3-6 who are interested in social justice are able to nominate to join the Mini Vinnies.  Mini Vinnies students look for opportunities to help those in need within their school, local or international community
